You may have not realised it but every new player, coach and volunteer we gained in 2022 made a difference to our club and community. Let’s take a look.
Coaching staff
The club gained 6 new coaches to our minis section, all started off as inexperienced and some were event parents. Since then they’ve all began their coaching journey, by completed numerous courses. We hope to share their coaching journey in the next couple of months.
Players
The club has doubled the amount of players in the minis section meaning we now have 5 new age groups. We have the following:U5s, U7s, U9s, U11s and we’ve even gained enough players for 2 teams in our U10s.
U10s goalkeeper Jersie has only been playing football for a year and has already been chosen for Newport County Development Centre. Everyone at the club is proud of her and wishing her the best at the development centre, she continues to play for the U10s squad.
Voluneers
The club has gained many new voluneers, two of which are Caroline who is the new Registrations Officer and we also have Laura who is our new Equality Champion. A massive thank you to all of our exisiting and new volunteers who have joined the club this year.
Sponsors
The U10s team gained a new sponsor for the 2022/23 season, Cory Brothers who allowed each player to have a full home kit. Thank you so much for your support to girls football.
