Why We Joined the Amser Ni Team

As a club, we’re passionate about growing our girls’ section and creating more spaces where girls can learn, play and fall in love with football. We’re actively looking for new players to join our girls’ teams, and becoming part of the Amser Ni initiative felt like the perfect way to make that happen.

Through this partnership, we’ll benefit from the FAW and Admiral’s continued investment in grassroots football — including support for new Under-6 to Under-9 girls’ teams. That means more access to kits, coaching support, equipment and facilities, helping us build a welcoming environment for girls at every level.

About the Partnership

Admiral and the FAW recently announced an extension of their partnership, with a shared goal of creating 150 new girls’ teams by 2028 across Wales. The Amser Ni Fund supports this mission by helping grassroots clubs like ours to start new teams for younger girls (U6–U9), removing barriers such as kit, venue and coaching costs.

It’s an ambitious plan, but one that’s already having an impact — 50 new girls’ teams have launched so far, with even more on the way. Together, we’re building a strong foundation for the future of the women’s and girls’ game in Wales.

What This Means for Our Club

As an Amser Ni club, we’ll be:

  • Creating new girls’ teams at the youngest age groups
  • Offering a safe, supportive environment to learn and play
  • Encouraging new players of all abilities to give football a go
  • Supporting our coaches through FAW development programmes
  • Working with families and the local community to grow the game together

Join Us!

We’re currently looking for new players to join our girls’ teams — whether you’ve never played before or already love the game, we’d love to welcome you.

If your daughter is in the U6–U9 age group and would like to get involved, get in touch with us to find out more about how to join. This is your chance to be part of something exciting, empowering and truly special — Amser Ni (“Our Time”).
